Not sure what you mean exactly by “real”, but here’s what I know. -Someone put some words together, (about 18 pages worth I guess) and published it as an electronic book.
-You can see a preview of the “book” on Amazon.
-The “book” is cheap ($2.99, or free if you have a Kindle and an AmazonPrime account). In my opinion, (disclaimer, I didn’t buy it, I only read the sample), it’s not worth anything. However, I posted it here in case someone else might be interested.

Mink(2663) | So far I haven’t been too thrilled with any of the Van Halen books. Everybody Wants Some was pretty good, but the EVH A Difinitive Biography was awful. The one I still use is the VH Encyclopedia. It’s dry, but unbiased and informational.

Agreed. Most of the books on VH seem to be rehashed old interviews, or info taken from old interviews. It would be nice to get a book with new interviews or info directly from the band themselves.
