Notes: Third show from the tour on an oddly cold summer night in this suburb east of of San Francisco. Very cool the band opens with “Light Up The Sky,” great energy. Ed playing well with the rest of the band. Alex jumps into “Panama” before the band, not sure if this is planned or an accident.
Roth was up and down, but not as bad as he has been at times. Most annoying thing is that he talks over the band while they are playing. An example: The band is jamming a nice intro on “Dirty Movies” and Roth talks gibberish all over it.
Recorded from the lower bowl. This is an outdoor venue, but has a roof over the sections closest to the stage where I was. Decent recording, clear enough. Do what ya want with this recording, I don’t give a rat’s ass!!!

Thanks for the share!

I’ll be at the Cleveland show and I hope a good audio bootlegs comes out from it. It’s my first VH show and I would love to have one but I don’t have the right tools for the job. Anybody else going to that show that might record?

Thanks for the heads up.

So far this recording sounds better then the one from the first show.

The mix is better, Dave’s vocals are lower in the mix.

There is still some phasing going on…. maybe because it’s outdoors, and the wind is blowing the sound.

He’s definitely getting most of the words right.. it’s nice. Now if only the voice could get a little stronger.

I think Dave’s trying hard so far. The shows sound good on the whole, and what an amazing set list. Take it or leave it though, I think his voice is as good as it’s going to get.

Yeah… unfortunately, Dave’s voice is not likely to improve… although I think he sounds much better on this recording, than the first night.

I really could care less if he sings the right words…. I am like Ed, I never really paid much attention to the actual words. My biggest complaint was the tone of Dave’s voice, and if he is hitting the right notes. To me his voice is more of an instrument, than a poet. But that is how I feel about all singers.

When Dave stays in range he is just fine. The yelping is what drives me nuts. That and talking over the intros to songs, etc.

I love the showman Dave (Cosby bit, etc) just at the right place and time.

Totally agree… I wish I could just mute Dave sometimes.

Dave’s shtick doesn’t translate well to Youtube. All his stuff live-and-in-person can’t be beat, but I’ll agree it comes off as a little off-putting on video. Dave is meant to be enjoyed LIVE.

I know that’s a funny thing to say at a bootleg site. 8-O

I get it. I saw the last show in NOLA in 2012. He sounded very good there. The YouTube clips I watched later were very different.
