1stgen>cd-r>SonyTCWE435>PioneerPDR-O4>CDR>EAC>WAV>Trader’sLittleHelper>FLAC

Quality: A-

Light Up the Sky (sound improves at 2:24 mark)
Somebody Get Me a Doctor
Drum solo
Runnin’ with the Devil (master tape hiccup at 1:59 mark)
Dance The Night Away
Beautiful Girls
On Fire
Bass Solo
You’re No Good
Jamie’s Cryin’
Feel Your Love Tonight
Outta Love Again
Ice Cream Man
Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love
Guitar Solo
D.O.A.
You Really Got Me
Bottoms Up!

Notes: Surprise! With the boys playing Vancouver tonight (PST) on the current tour a few of us old school traders thought it would be fun to bust this gem out from the same town 32 years ago.
The sound here is really good, and rivals the Fresno 3-25-79 recording. It starts off a bit rough, but it seems the taper turned his mic toward the stage and the sound gets and stays better from the middle of “Light Up The Sky” on out. There is small master tape issue on “Running With the Devil” but not too bad.
Enjoy this historic analog recording and let’s hope the Vancouver May 7 shows up here soon.

This source, for those who haven’t downloaded, is absolutely killer and is a massive upgrade to what has previously circulated for this show.

Get it, and don’t think twice about it. It’s very much like Fresno 79 – maybe a hair less great – and that’s not an exaggeration.

How could I not download after that review. Thanks for your thoughts on the show….I’m on it.

If this isn’t uploaded to guitars101 or t.u.b.e.,

can someone upload this to DROPBOX ?

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I remember there being some confusion about the date of this show? I thought it had been decided that the Seattle show was on the 18th. I know I’m confused.

Hi Dan,

Seattle was a two night stand on 4/12 and 4/13.
On 4/14, Roth supposedly “passed out on stage” in Spokane, and that show was cancelled.
Vancouver happened on 4/18. This is confirmed by Billboard, from May 5,1979, p.44, which says that 13,200 attended and the gross was 112,195.
On 4/19, the Spokane show was made up.

Thanks for the info Greg. Is it clear which of the two Seattle shows was used for the “Light Up The Sky” boot?
