Notes: With the Van Halen new album and tour out soon thought it would be fun to up some of these older shows. Here is one where Van Halen opened for Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi ackowledged Van Halen gave Sabbath a “good hiding” (beating) on the tour. The topic was discussed here on “That Metal Show.” http://guitarsquid.com/Latest/tony-iommi-addresses-the-van-halen-rumor.html. Seems like whomever recorded this used a 45 minute tape as there is a cut at the 22-minute mark, then at the end. Fairly well recorded for 1978.
