So I’m working on some videos and I see this scene at the end of a Van Halen show. What other band would treat a stage crasher like this?!

You can’t help but smile and laugh after seeing this.

  This reminds me of a story Sammy told during their 93 RHRN tour. Apparently during one show in the south, it was so hot that one fan ended up on stage buttnaked. Sammy reacted quickly and took off his shirt to cover the guy’s best parts…I’d love to see a video of that!

The stage went dark right there at the end, so it’s hard to say if that second guy also got to go backstage or not.

Wasn’t that Zak Wylde at one of the dress rehearsals?

The story I remember reading (but don’t know the accuracy of) was that Zak Wylde was doing his thing and Dave tells him to get the fuck off his stage. hahaha I gotta tell you, I would probably not be kind to crazy drunk folks jumping on my stage. They handled that moment well. Glad to see that!

I’ll bet those guys would shit themselves to see that that moment was captured on video. I know I would! They probably told their friends they got on stage with Van Halen and their friends were like, “Suuurrre you were!” LOL!

Reminds me of a story from the early ’80s. I was leaving boot camp with a bunch of other guys from my unit. We were at the airport saying our goodbyes as we were about to go our separate ways to various military bases all around the world. And Just then out of the blue Mohammed Ali walks by. A bunch of the guys chased after him to get an autograph. Muhammed just kept walking, but signed a few autographs for them as he moved along. I ran ahead of the group and took a couple of pictures of them as they approached me. I got the pictures developed a few days later, and wrote the names of the guys on the back of the pictures. Fast forward thirty years. I find these pictures and thought, “How cool would it be to find these guys and send them a copy of the picture.” As it turned out, they all had fairly common sounding names and I couldn’t remember where any of them were from, except this one guy named John Ennis, who was from a small town in Vermont. I googled his name and found his mom’s obituary. It listed him as one of her son’s and also listed his wife’s name. I found his wife on FB and sent her a message with a scan of a picture that showed John with a big grin doing a fist pump behind Muhammed. She wrote me back and said John was floored to see that after so many years. I emailed them a high-res scan and he got it printed and framed and it’s now hanging on the wall in his office.
