dand363 (194) | Another one from the third night. Amazing! Keep ‘em comin’. http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=781708 Van Halen Lineage: Maxell UDXL-I C-90 cassette > Nakamichi DR-1 (azimuth adjustment) > Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD > Audacity (24-96) > FLAC 6 Track Listing: 01 Intro Notes: Besides this tape and the recording of the first night in Worcester that was shared two days ago, only two other soundboard recordings from their 1982 tour have ever circulated: a quite muffled-sounding tape source of the first Dallas show, and the audio from the Largo proshot house feed. The first side of the 90 minute master tape runs out during Everybody Wants Some, but is flipped in time to capture Dave’s banter that followed. On the second side, the tape was deliberately stopped again following Somebody Get Me A Doctor, so we’re missing Dave’s acoustic guitar and singing bit, Ice Cream Man, Intruder, Pretty Woman, and the first few minutes of Eddie’s guitar solo. The tape was likely stopped right here to be able to capture more of the end of the show. In comparison with the recording of the first night, the tape here actually captures the Happy Trails a cappella and the reprise of You Really Got Me, completing the end of the concert. This is essentially the raw transfer, since I overall prefer doing as little editing as possible. Besides, I am not the right person to be doing any sort of worthwhile mastering work. The manual azimuth adjustment was done by briefly listening to the tape playing into a mono feed, with stereo headphones. Enjoy the music and be grateful we are able hear these special recordings. If you have uncirculated tapes, please consider sharing them before they end up forever lost to time. dand363Quote |

ron (11802) | [via Google Translate] The Centrum, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA 24th October 1982 STEREO SBD ★First ever appearance of soundboard!!! Super shock! A completely unreleased soundboard album from the “DIVER DOWN” era has been unexpectedly unearthed!! Two press 2CDs will be released simultaneously to permanently preserve the transcendent sound that is currently shocking collectors all over the world! ● Details of “North America # 3″ 38 performances. Three consecutive nights were performed in Worcester, and this work is the final day. It was also 12 days (6 performances) after the standard professional shot “LARGO 1982″. This day was a hidden place where audience recording was unknown, just like “WORCESTER 1982 1ST NIGHT”, but this work is a sound board that will imprint a show that no one has ever heard into your brain. ● Diver Down (6 songs) …And so on. It’s nice that this album includes “Bottoms Up!” instead of “(Oh) Pretty Woman”. Even “You Really Got Me,” which ended abruptly on “1ST NIGHT,” is about four and a half minutes longer, and you can enjoy the included “Happy Trails” and the ending (there is a pause in “Everybody Wants Some!!” as well, and there are cuts in the guitar phrases before the songs start on “Bottoms Up!” and “You Really Got Me”). ★ Stereo sound board recording of the “October 24, 1982 Worcester performance (3rd day)”. This is the first public sound board that is astonishing all over the world, and it has been digitized from the original cassette recorded directly from the on-site mix desk. It is the most faithful record of the “sound” emitted from the hands and throat of the original VAN HALEN. The vividness is overwhelming, and the sense of synchronization where the whole body and the ensemble match perfectly is a pleasure of another dimension. This is a shocking new masterpiece that you can enjoy “Bottoms Up!”, which is not included in the sister work “1ST NIGHT (Zodiac 700)”. ★ It will be released with a numbered sticker. Disc:1 (52:41) Disc:2 (35:47) David Lee Roth – Lead Vocals STEREO SOUNDBOARD RECORDING ronQuote |
