I had the Doors song “LA Woman” in my head & there’s the part where Jim

sings the Anagram/pseudonym of his name “Mr Mojo Risin“. I thought,

“Why not drop the last part & add Halen”, thus mr_mojo_halen.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Back in the BBS days* (mid-to-late ’80s), I was known as “Sherlock Ohms” – which was a take-off on Sherlock Holmes, but with a twist for my interest and occupation in electronics. But pretty much since the late ’80s (when I started using the “Internet”), I’ve just been myself.

*I ran a BBS for many years, I think I finally turned it off on Y2K.

Wes
(6118)

I’m cool enough to have 2 names here….lol

Forum name: Wes

Site username (my name for when you send me a PM): liquid_steel_az

Wes is my real name, and Liquid Steel was the name of the last local band I was in (about 13 years ago). The “az” is the abbreviation for the state in which I live: Arizona.

hmmmm … I had a really hard time coming up with mine … :D … actually after I settled on FrankM I tried to get the e-mail address FrankM@yahoo.com or FrankM@gmail.com but those were already taken. son of a gun. So I just added here as in I’m here, FrankMhere. I actually use that on some messageboards.

sickman

sickman , because I am. Actually I’m sure a lot of people picked up on it. It’s the title to an AIC song. My second favorite band tied with Iron Maiden. On other sites I am registered as sickman5150 because someone already had sickman but they never use it because as far as I can tell I’m the only one posting on the sites I belong to.

radikal
(3892)

I like to be different and try new things my own way so When I started in the trading world I was trying to create a user name and whatever I put was always taken so eventually I came up with RadiKal with a “K” instead of C and it worked. As I started in Authoring I found Radikal Productions to be a cool name and I always try to be different to not copy others at what they do and do it my way.. Whether that makes sene or not it does to me.. :-)

Cool Thread :-)

Revo11
(985)

Back when AOL dialup was the only way to get online, I was nervous about using any part of my name for an email account. Like a douchebag, I couldn’t think of anything for a name, but my Revo sunglasses were sitting on the kitchen table by me. I decided to just go with Revo11 for some reason. I still use it at times for certain signups, there is virtually no chance that the name is already taken.

This is an interesting thread, I’ve thought about starting a password thread. I’m not asking for specifics, but I’m willing to bet that a bunch of people on this site have 5150 somewhere in their online passwords.
