Spot on. I dvr’d it but could only get through a couple songs. If I was there at the club watching it live, I’d probably enjoy it more. But otherwise, I’d rather pop in a dvd of the real thing. thechefs2003Quote |

ron (11779) | Watched this last night. I found it highly enjoyable, and better than the Punks episode from the first season. ronQuote |

I’ve watched it more than once, and have it saved on my DVR. It’s not perfect, but some parts are quite good, and fun to watch. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |

ron (11779) | A BluRay disc is available for this show. It has the show, a behind-the-scenes video (~10mins), a “Bass-cam” video (~30mins), and an interview on the disc. If there’s any interest, maybe a tree? ronQuote |

ron (11779) | https://www.facebook.com/fanhalen/posts/938453882911191 FAN HALEN BEHIND THE SCENES: “PANIC ON LIVE TV” What you probably didn’t know is at the end of the opening number, which was “Panama”, my guitar amplifier went to 1/2 volume (got very quiet and lost all it’s distortion). Something was terribly wrong and you could see the panic on everyone of our faces! Now I had prepared for this moment and had an extra amplifier with me, however, the problem was it was tucked behind all the white speaker cabinets and would take at least 30 – 45 seconds just to climb back there and get it. The Amplifier I was using that seemingly broke was in front of the white cabinets so I would need to grab the 2nd amplifier, carry it to the front, unplug all the cables (speaker, effects loop, power, et al), plug in all the cables into the second amp, power it up, etc. All this could take a good 2 or 3 minutes…but we’re on “Live” TV!!! As “Panama” ends I begin plotting my moves in my head but before I can take two steps I hear a very familiar sound, OH NO!!! It’s the car horns that begins “Runnin’ With The Devil.” In a desperate move I kneel down and check all my cables on my pedal board, one by one I check each connection…I now can hear the bass intro…HELP!!! Finally I notice one of the cables had been inadvertently kicked loose and I snap it in…CLICK! I jump up and without missing a single beat I add the iconic Eddie Van Halen “chimes” and we’re off to the races!!! Witness it for yourself here and enjoy our moment of PANIC on Live TV… ronQuote |

jroundy (1418) | Did this story just come out? Odd being that this is from the last time they performed on AXS TV. I still have this show as well as the most current show on my DVR…. and watched both shows back to back. The 2014 show was much better IMO. The band sounded more like Van Halen, and the setlist was better…. no Sammy songs. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |
