PT5150 (6290) | You can hear Ed was into the electric drums back when he did this just before 5150 so may be they wanted that drum sound on 5150 and it was not Mick Jones idea. Also in 80′s I think the electronic drums were the new thing to have.Good they dropped them for OU812.. EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

Dave (2308) | Glad I wasn’t the only one who bought that soundtrack for the one song! It’s gotta be 15 years or so, but someone put all of Ed’s music from the movie on cassette as part of some massive Van Halen rarities collection. I think it was put together by some Van Halen list? I forget, it’s in my basement somewhere and I got it secondhand. Stay Frosty DaveQuote |

PT5150 (6290) | Good news from VHND here… More coming soon! To the frustration of Van Halen fans, The Wild Life’s musical score has never been officially released, and likely never will. However, we have some incredible news – The Van Halen News Desk will be releasing it ourselves, via our Van Halen Vault youtube channel (subscribe here). We’ll be featuring all of Ed’s music from The Wild Life score throughout the coming weeks, one track at a time! These are the full, raw tracks that Eddie recorded, before they were edited for use in the movie. So stay tuned, track #2 is coming soon… Read more: http://www.vhnd.com/2013/08/02/eddie-van-halens-the-wild-life-music-score-unearthed/#ixzz2axNHpHDQ EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150 (6290) | Another Van Halen News Desk exclusive! Here’s what we call “Top Down”, written and performed by Eddie Van Halen in 1983. This track is part of the musical score from the movie The Wild Life, released in 1984. Eddie wrote the entire musical score for the movie, playing guitar along with his electronic drum machine. In the movie, the guys where blasting this song while cruising around in their convertible, drinking, smoking with the top down, on their way to a strip club. What’s more rock ‘n’ roll than that? You can’t hear much of the song due to their talking and the sounds of the traffic, but here’s the full, unedited track! More on the way! Last week we released “Out The Window“, and the Van Halen News Desk will be releasing all of Ed’s music from The Wild Life score throughout the coming weeks, via our Van Halen Vault youtube channel. These are the full, raw tracks that Eddie recorded, before they were edited for use in the movie. So stay tuned, track #3 is coming soon… EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |
