Gilligan (1518) | Anyone watch the Mayweather Pacquiao fight? Geez, I was not impressed – very boring. Truth be told, I’m not really a boxing fan and I haven’t watched much since Tyson, but for crying out loud, that was really lame. Neither guy was ever stunned and they danced around 95% of the time. Lance (3169) | this was more hype and all about making money … it had nothing to do with boxing…lol i feel this was the last hurrah for boxing as a headlining sport. They kinda lost their spot to MMA ( UFC ) as ppls favorite fighting sport.. another tour.. and no shows in my area.. maybe the next reunion tour 2020 … lol LanceQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | Yeah, and what a ton of money they made! Outrageous. I realize Mayweather “won” according to boxing rules, but Pacquiao was the only one who made things happen. If he didn’t pursue Mayweather the whole fight I don’t think any punches would have been thrown outside of long distance jabs. He “won” in my book due to his activity. Oh well. GilliganQuote |

It was a snoozer for sure. I do enjoy good boxing but the money is one of the reasons the sport is dead. Both these guys get tons of cash for mailing in the “fight of the century”. If I’m not mistaken, MMA guys get bonuses for “best knockout of the card” or “best match of the card”; I think I also read that if a fighter is not exciting, he might not even get a title shot despite his record. Boxing needs to incentivize boxers like Mayweather to actually fight instead of spending the match running away. All that being said, boxing can’t be relevant again until there is a dominant American Heavyweight for the country to be interested in. PanamaniacQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | It’s odd that Mayweather was in the blue corner and Pacquiao was in the red corner, yet, if you look at the scorecard, the red corner won. I saw this comment posted online, but I didn’t watch the fight, so I just found the fight online and verified they were in those corners and then I found the scorecard on the Daily Mail website and it appears to be true. All three judges scored the fight in favor of the “Red” corner, but the decision was giving to the “Blue” corner. VOODOOQuote |

Revo11 (985) | Yeah I think all of the judges were looking at the printed name above the scores rather than the written in corner color. There is no way in hell Pac Man won any of the first three rounds so I think this is an honest mistake. Other rounds could be debated but Mayweather won the first three easily. Revo11Quote |
