One way to capture audio from really anything on your computer (music videos, podcasts, video games, etc.) is to use Audacity. It’s a free little program with TONS of great features. Basically all you have to do is open up Audacity, select Stereo Mix and hit record. Then it will record whatever sounds come out of your computer which you can save as .wav or mp3s. GilliganQuote |

Decatone (1440) | Umm, couldn’t get the vid to play in my area so it might be better watching with the video but the music is odd in respect of I like hearing Ed play and I think Dave actually excels at this sort of laid back, bluesy tempo, he gets a better range than his efforts live n’ loud, guess that’s just an age thing LOL. Downside for me was Al playing what sounds like his pots and pans from his kitchen. Overall with the vid I’d say it’s a watcher, so I’m in for the Deluxe package! the wait is killing me. In the YRGM intro, he talks about why it wasn’t included on the Deluxe Edition DVD. Wonder what happened? Ray Davies didn’t want the extra cash? ronQuote |

Mink (2663) | Thanks for the video link. This is amazing! Finally a Van Halen unplugged performance, besides the 93 benefit performance. It’s really cool to see the guys kicking back and playing acoustics. My only gripe is Dave’s voice is completely shot. At times it sounds like he’s doing a really bad DLR impression:) That aside, this is great. MinkQuote |

Fuckin-A yes it does!! I’ve always said – if you can pull off a nice acoustic version of a rock song – you gotta be a badass guitarist. Ed does a masterful job on this. And it looks like it was a single take. I think a nice little three song acoustic jam somewhere out on the walkway in the middle of the show would be very cool. I don’t imagine they’d ever do that – but you can always hope. guitardQuote |
