I wondered if this was the complete interview ? There were a couple of weird

camera takes or fades. Maybe not the best production wise.

Otherwise, a great interview !

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I agree with the content. I thought Eddie did a great job with it. I sort of expected the interviewer to do a lot more talking to try and get an answer out of him.
Like Ron said, I thought the comment about playing with his dad again was very touching. Even my wife welled up a little. Aside from the production it was the best EVH interview I have seen. I loved his playing and explanation of it too.

It is complete. Somewhere about 3/4 of the way through, whoever was running the camera controllers changed the switcher from cutting camera to camera to cutting to black before going to the next camera. That’s why you see a fade to black and then instantly the next shot appears. It was poorly produced, but again, it was cool to see and hear Ed telling his story. I’ve heard/read it all a hundred times, but I was smiling through the entire hour.

I was actually glad she let Ed ramble. I don’t think she was going to ask many (if any) really compelling questions, so chances were better that Ed’s unguided stream of thought was going to be more interesting than responses to “So what was it like the first time you picked up a guitar?” kind of questions.

Just my 2 cent’s worth.

From what I have read, the core of the interview was taken from audience member questions. They were all given cards to write down any questions they had and a couple people said he was asked their questions.

Try this link.. Hopefully it will work. It doesn’t include the obligatory AUDIO_TS folder so you’ll have to make one before burning.
