I normally don’t adjust the EQ on recordings since everyone has their own preference, but this was just too bass heavy to leave alone. It sounded more balanced at the show, but I wasn’t too surprised since they had a row of sub cabinets to really pound out the low end. You may still want to tweak it to your liking, but I didn’t want to get carried away and take all the bass out. Overall, it turned out fine. I did a little moving around to avoid some chatter and a few clappers, but since it was sold out I didn’t have many choices on where to go. The Star-Spangled Banner was an impromptu addition to the set since Sammy mentioned that a few of the IndyCar drivers had told him they wanted him to perform the song at the Indianapolis 500 a few days later. As always, a Sammy show is fun and it looks like the band is having a blast. The outro is the studio recording playing while they’re taking their bows before Sammy says goodbye at the end. Check out their new studio album. Sammy’s son Drew opened the show with a short set followed by Night Ranger which I’ll post soon. Enjoy!
