Paul, who was 54, was also known for his work as a drummer for the metal band Hellyeah. No further details are available at this time.

We lost Dimebag Darrell and now Vinnie Paul…this is just heartbreaking. Not only was Vinnie a KILLER metal drummer, but he was one helluva guy to boot. Always with a smile and an upbeat attitude. He and Dime were two of the world’s biggest Van Halen fans. But one thing is for sure…somewhere the Abbott brothers are reunited and tearin’ the place up.
