I guess, as artists, your outlet is unique to you and your band. Eddie passed and they got together and wrote this song with their emotions. I’ll give them the credit for honoring Eddie. I don’t really see or hear the link, but I’m not a big fan/follower of the RHCP. They’re honoring Ed. I say thank you to them. If we had every band recording boogie rock songs and finger tapping it would be pretty sterile. Let’s let them pay homage in their own musical voice and respect that.
