‘Ready Player One’ First-Look Trailer: Steven Spielberg’s Latest Screams Go Ahead & Jump!

We also hear Van Halen’s “Jump” booming throughout a good portion of the footage in a nod to their reign during the 1980s.
The band’s legendary lead guitarist, Eddie Van Halen, provided the guitar riffs that Marty McFly plays on a cassette in Back to the Future, the 1985 sci fi/comedy that’s also referred to throughout both trailers via Wade’s choice of vehicle in the OASIS: the time-traveling DeLorean.

Since it is so prominent in the trailer Jump will probably not be used in the film at all…

Man, movies are so CGI’d anymore they look like cartoons. I can’t stand it.

A VH/80′s soundtrack would be cool though. Was the other song by Depeche Mode?

Anyone go see the movie, stay for the credits, and see if VH was credited for JUMP in the film?

Didn’t stay for the credits, but Jump was used prominently within the first 2 minutes of the film.

I haven’t seen the movie, but Jump is credited on IMBD so that would mean that their name would appear in the movie credits…
