mrmojohalen (6471) | Some 3-4 hours after hearing the news, I’m simultaneously feeling sadness + joy & gratitude for all of the great music that Edward gave to us. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

kaloway (2024) | At some point the clock runs out. Many of us had the chance to see him play live. He is immortalized in his music and our videos of him doing what he did best. We have the chance to celebrate his music, his life and his legacy. He was loved, he will be missed, he will never be replaced. The world and our lives had a better soundtrack with him among us. Rest in peace EVH kalowayQuote |

Vince G. (2261) | It was a very long and rough 8 hour shift at work tonight knowing what I knew after my wife called to tell me the news. 2 deaths within 1 week of each other; first my brother-in-law and now this. Vince G.Quote |

Chris UK (2998) | Gutted and stunned, didnt get a lot of sleep last night. I loved rock guitar right from hearing Queen, Sweet and Slade when I was 8, but it was Eddie who blew my mind as a 14 year old and was the catalyst for me to actually get a guitar and become a rock musician. Hearing VH for the first time was like a beacon of light to this shy nerdy kid back then, many here probably had a similar experience. Hearing Eruption for the first time was other-worldly….that ‘what the fuck’ moment we all here probably had. I love lots of music and many guitarists have inspired me over the years but no single person has had such a life changing effect on me as Ed. Thank you for everything Eddie R.I.P. Chris UKQuote |

vhroxu2 (1790) | I was absolutely shocked to see this last night. No other guitarist has touched my soul the way Eddie did. A very sad day. 2020 keeps getting worse and worse. RIP king Ed. My thoughts are with Wolfie, Alex, Valerie and the rest of the family. Vhtrading member since 2004. vhroxu2Quote |

Jericho (914) | We cry and smile together today. His life and now his passing has brought us all together here again. It was great to hear from old friends and new. Thank you Eddie for all you gave us and now what you leave us with. Rest easy. We’ll keep your music and your memory in good hands. JerichoQuote |
