I tried getting around the geo-restrictions, and failed. I know people in the UK that would buy it and E-Mail me the tracks, but it’s just not worth that kind of trouble. I can wait to get the tracks here (for now).
Myself, I really enjoyed the preview . Some may not like “Me Wise Magic”, That was my 1st thought . The whole sound is Van Halen . So far So Good !!! *THANKS Ed,Al,Wolf,and Dave !!!!! & thank you ron.!
I think the song is ok upon first listen. I do like it better than Tattoo. I want to like Tattoo, the verses and solos are good, but that Tattoo, Tattoo part drives me insane. The problem with reusing old material for me is, the hardcore fans like most of us have heard the demos or soundtrack music (in this case) before and have preconceived notions about it. So when listening to the new version it doesn’t sound right. I know they’ve been doing this forever, so in time I think this will grow on me. Fortunately I was exposed to the album cuts first before hearing the demos on the classic tracks, such as: House of Pain and Voodoo Queen. So for me, the demos sounded different and not the album tracks. With these new songs – we are all to well versed in the old songs.
I need to absorb it a little more…I listened to this first but not all the way and then I heard Trouble and never came back to this…I’ll have to absorb both of them tomorrow…
