VOODOO (2375) | Well, that would be an amazing turn of events, now wouldn’t it?! I would have never thought it would happen after all the shit Ed did in ’04. Maybe sobriety has mellowed and softened him. It’s probably the only thing that would really push the ticket sales. We’ve already had two tours with Wolf, one to support a new album. If they’re planning to release a video collection, it makes sense to use the old catalog of videos and have Mike do the tour. We’ll just have to wait and see now. VOODOOQuote |

If, and that’s a big IF, a tour with Mike happens it will be very interesting to see how they handle PR… as in – will there be any? I feel some damage control would be called for, otherwise it would really look like a fake-it-for-the-money cash grab. Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |

I think I speak for the majority of VH fans when I say I couldn’t give two shits about damage control. People kiss and makeup all the time. It’s part of life and something everyone goes through. They only need to say one thing: “VH 2015 Tour – All ORIGINAL Members.” That’s all the PR that will be necessary. At this point, every classic era band out there is doing it for the money first, and for the fans and the glory second. These guys (referring to most bands) are in their 60s, and some are in their 70s. It’s like an NFL player in his mid-30s — he knows his time is running out and the gravy train will be ending soon. Jump on for one last ride – it’s now or never. Fill up the bank account one last time and hope you make enough to last until you die. guitardQuote |

I hear you and agree.. I’m going to the shows either way.. I’m just thinking a little bit of sweetening in the media wouldn’t hurt for the casual fan who may have been turned off by Wolf. Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |

As I’ve said previously, I’m not an arbiter of Van Halen affairs. I’m just a guy who likes to archive concert recordings and run a website geared specifically for Van Halen videos. In the course of doing that, every now and then a tasty morsel gets tossed my way by someone who I trust implicitly. Having said that … nothing I say is official, and I am not in a position to request information. Even if I were in a position to request information, I probably wouldn’t, because that’s not my thing. I will gladly pass on whatever I hear though. guitardQuote |

PT5150 (6290) | I think with Sammy saying a while ago he thinks VH should Tour with Mike was a hint.. Now that leaves what are they releasing a CD or DVD…? EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

Oh – no doubt Janie will have that all worked out as it would be a major selling point. I don’t know that casual fans were all that bothered by having Wolf in the band. Outside of just a handful of bands from the classic era (Rush, Aerosmith, and ZZ Top come to mind), very few bands tour with their original lineup. so it’s pretty normal. Hell … there are bands out there still going strong that don’t have a single member from their original (or historically most famous) lineup – like the Little River Band. guitardQuote |
