PT5150 (6290) | Thanks to Halenberg.. Not sure where it was taken but looks recent or who the guy is… EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

PT5150 (6290) | From Jeff at VHND… I put a short VIDEO of Eddie & Alex with Paraguay Kelley on VHND, so the pics, audio and video are all together: EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. ron (11779) | While the rest of us sit around wondering whether we’re going to hear any new (or old) music from Van Halen anytime soon, Alex and Eddie Van Halen are out doing more important stuff — like spending some time with an ailing friend and making a donation in his honor. The Van Halen News Desk reports that the brothers recently paid a visit to Paraquat “Pat” Kelley, the well-known KMET disc jockey who was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis in 2003. But it wasn’t just a social call — they also donated a signed acoustic guitar (pictured above) to the Mighty Met Acoustic Flashback, an upcoming event bringing together “award-winning musicians, KMET alumni and friends” for an evening of music and a live auction to help defray the mounting costs of Kelley’s care. For those who can make it, there’s much more for auction than one (admittedly quite cool) signed guitar — visit the Mighty Met Facebook page to have a look at some of the memorabilia that will be going up for bids, including KMET swag and one-of-a-kind donations such as signed gear from Ginger Baker and Alice in Chains. To learn more about Kelley’s fight against MS (and to donate to the cause), you can visit his GoFundMe page, which has raised more than $5,000 over the last several months, or read his memoir, ‘And There Will Always Be Termites,’ published in 2013. The Mighty Met Acoustic Flashback is scheduled to take place Dec. 14 at the Canyon Club in Los Angeles; for more information, visit the Canyon Club’s website. VOODOO (2375) | For those who don’t know, Paraquat was the guy who did the interviewing in the pre-US Festival tent party video that Van Halen showed on the big screen before their show. This isn’t the complete video, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere else. VOODOOQuote |
