mcs5150 (1096) | The torrent was just banned from Dime: TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME! Multicam DVDs of recent years are allowed only if the uploader provides the specs of each and every video source used and full lineage and that way shows that the DVD is in accordance with DIME’s rules regarding re-encoded video: http://wiki.dimeadozen.org/index/faq#reencodedvideo DO NOT REUPLOAD If you can show that the torrent is acceptable under DIME’s rules, send the video specs and lineage to dimemods@dimeadozen.org?Subject=torrent_400612. We will review the information and lift the ban if everything seems to be in order mcs5150Quote |

I thought this might happen after I read the torrent description, because it clearly says BTB ripped video from a DVD using DVD Decrypter and then edited it in Vegas Video. That means video that had been encoded as mpeg was used in a DVD project and re-encoded as mpeg. Essentially, it adds a generation to the video. I personally don’t see the problem with this if it’s done right. But Dime (and a lot of other sites), do not allow it. guitardQuote |

gatomike26 (458) | Yeah it will still go if the original person seeds it all the way through and everyone else keeps seeding it even though it is banned, but new people can’t jump on.This is why I hate dime. They are so anal about everything. I much prefer jamtothis. But as anal as they are – Dime gets the most traffic and torrents uploaded out of the major torrent sites. gatomike26Quote |

guitard (7354) | You just have to hope the original seeder doesn’t turn off his computer for some reason – or that in the middle of the night his computer decides to do some updates and reboots. guitardQuote |
