I checked a few places, and didn’t find it. Does it exist?

It does exist. Saw it in a trade list during the cassette era. Never did get it.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I’ve had the DAT since 95 or 96 just never did anything with it. I was just going through my DATs, saw it and thought, hhhmmmm. I don’t think I’ve seen this one before.

EDIT: the note on the DAT case does say it is a digital copy of the master.

I’d be interested in a copy of that, too. Cool find, Frank. I don’t show it listed on my list.

I think I’ll pass on this one given that Frank has shared a digital copy from the master DAT.

The only issue with the DAT master is that the recording ends at Panama. The taper told me he only had a 120 minute DAT and ran outta tape at the encore. He did say he had a buddy recording on analog right next to him. I wonder if that’s this recording. I may just grab Panama to have a complete show.

Good idea Frank! I did just that.

Interesting, is that this cassette copy is obviously sourced from the DAT, as Panama is spliced right at the point where the original DAT was cut off.

So let it be noted – At the 1:25 mark on Panama, a second source was used to complete the song.

I’ll add this song in a separate folder to the DAT show.

Would be nice if the complete version of the analog version were released.

Thanks, Ron and mrmojohalen.

It appears our DAT master copy is better than this cassette version of the DAT. Also mrmojohalen. the DAT taper told me his buddy was recording on analog right next to him and he could probably get the fully analog show. That might take a little longer since he is in the middle of some other stuff but I can ask him about it and if/when we receive it … I will definitely share it.

Hopefully I’ll have some other new recordings to circulate shortly. Stay tuned.
