ron (11778) | Looks to be repackaging of Hurricane Halen coming via semi-official channels… Audio CD (5 May 2017) Disc: 1 Disc: 2 VAN HALEN’S CLASSIC 1982 BROACDAST RECORDING At the top of their game in the early 1980s, Van Halen and their classic line up of David Lee Roth on vocals, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, brother Alex on drums and bassist Michael Anthony, had cemented their reputation with a string of hit records and tours with the likes of The Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath. By 1982 they were among the best live acts on the circuit and their album of that year, Diver Down, was their biggest success yet, spending 65 weeks on the US albums chart and selling over four million copies. It also spawned five charting singles, including (Oh) Pretty Woman , Dancing In The Street and Where Have All The Good Times Gone! which hit No. 1, 3 and 17 on the US Mainstream Rock chart respectively. To capitalise on all this, the band embarked on the mammoth Hide Your Sheep tour, playing 97 shows between June 1982 and May 1983 across North and South America. Despite its curious name, the tour remains Halen s live pinnacle during which, on 11th October, they appeared at the 19,000 capacity Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland. Recorded for live FM radio broadcast in exceptional audio quality, Van Halen are featured doing precisely what they do best: delivering their electric, mesmerising show to an ecstatic audience. With such favourites as (Oh) Pretty Woman , Dance The Night Away and Ice Cream Man all making an appearance, this double CD set is a prime example of a truly legendary rock outfit at the height of their powers ronQuote |

ron (11778) | Having now listened to this release, I found it to be decent, yet annoying at the same time. There are gaps between the tracks. Not huge 2 second gaps, but small gaps, like sector boundary errors. Overall audio quality was fine though. ronQuote |
