Does anyone recall the Guitar Hero rip, which basically had separate tracks of all the instruments on classic Van Halen tracks? Was this done with any of the other Guitar Hero releases? Just curious.

There were the tracks without vocals. I don’t know if there was a rip of “guitar only”, etc.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

There was a rip with all instruments completely isolated, however I have no idea if this was done from Guitar Hero or from elsewhere.

This is what I’ve found:

Track with no number – bass drum track
Track 1 – snare/toms
Track 2 – cymbals/hi-hat
Track 3 – guitar
Track 4 – bass
Track 5 – vocals
Backing track that has no guitar

Tracklist:
Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love (7 isolated tracks)
Atomic Punk (7 isolated tracks)
Eruption (6 isolated tracks)
Feel Your Love Tonight (7 isolated tracks)

Don’t know which Guitar Hero release you are looking for, but I did a quick google search for Metallica and Aerosmith, and found them pretty easily.

I’m hoping to get all the metallica justice tracks to do my own mix. But now I’m reading the game maker didn’t necessarily get the original studio tracks, they used studio musicians re-recording the album tracks to make up the game. I don’t know if that really matters. Maybe I shouldn’t care. I was just gonna make my own mix for my own enjoyment.

Anyone else make mixes of multitrack files? Anyone hear a good justice mix? Just curious.
