I thought about that at first, but couldn’t find any evidence. Here’s a shot that shows EVH surrounded by Les Paul, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck. Steve Vai, and Steely Dan. I couldn’t find a shot that showed who is around the handprints of Slash. It’s possible they are referring to something other than the handprints too. Especially since Jimi’s handprints aren’t in the Rock Walk. Also, Slash does have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is separate. ronQuote |

kaloway (2021) | Sounds like the author has their “facts” off. I went to the Smithsonian many times. They have the guitar, but never on display. kalowayQuote |

Always loved the Steve Vai hand print… It explains why some of his licks are so hard. DutchieQuote |

ron (11779) | Not that I think it’ll actually release on this date, but Amazon.co.uk is listing this book for an early March release. ronQuote |

ron (11779) | After trying to get my hands on a copy a couple of different times, I supposedly have one on the way. Since this hasn’t been released yet (as far as I can tell), it’ll be interesting to see what shows up. No idea why the multi-year delay on this…. I never got any word back from the various people I contacted about it, including the author himself. ronQuote |

mcs5150 (1096) | It looks like it is now being published by Da Capo Press. However, there is nothing listed on their website and Amazon has a release date of October, 2018. mcs5150Quote |

Nope. The seller claimed that it had been sent, but was unable to provide a tracking number. After waiting for it for a month, I contacted them. They claimed it got lost in the mail and refunded my money. It was supposed to be issued in digital form (Kindle) earlier this month, but once again, got pushed back without explanation. Dates now seem to be listed for Oct. 2018 (sigh) ronQuote |

I think it’s time to write this book off. Amazon has now pushed the release date (for the Kindle version) to December 31, 2019. ronQuote |

ron (11779) | Well, since I can’t just let it go, I found a semi-recent interview with the author where he mentions the book. ronQuote |

…and after a month of waiting, nothing. So that’s two supposedly legit retailers that have tried to rip me off by selling me a book that doesn’t exist. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to continue waiting for a release date like everyone else. ronQuote |
