Dave (2309) | http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/sammy-hagar/video/spanish-fly-best-of-both-worlds_1005723.html This has been heard on bootlegs for years, but I’ve never seen video for it before – here it is with great audio. Unfortunately it’s not the whole set but better than nothing. Stay Frosty DaveQuote |

mcs5150 (1096) | That was great! Thanks for the link. Has the video of their entire performance ever been circulated? mcs5150Quote |

wjamflan (1113) | I never knew that wasn’t really acoustic. Ed’s using one of those Parker Fly guitars, or whatever they were called. Never seen him use one before or since… “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

Mink (2663) | There has been footage in circulation, but it is audience shot and not very good quality. This video is awesome. Hopefully someone can capture this and pass it around. Great find! MinkQuote |

PT5150 (6290) | Great stuff. EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

Dave, they only did 3 songs from what I remember? it was Neil Young’s Bridge school thing, so a bit of a free for all jam. I’ve got a high gen transfer some where that was aud shot from up in the balcony but it’s really a one watch job …it also has Ed with Simon and Garbunkle doing Sound of Silence! What’s the deal with this Vault place, been around sometime? DecatoneQuote |

Dave (2309) | Oh yeah, the Vault’s been around for about 5 years, maybe more. Great place to hear live music! I get the membership every year as my father’s day gift so I can listen in better quality. Check it out, there’s lots of great stuff. No Van Halen though. They tend to shy away from bands who will sue them !!! Zep, Halen, etc. It’s all legal though. Not sure how they do it. I think they legally own the rights to the live recordings that used to belong to Bill Graham, and then bought others like King Buscuit, even though a few bands have tried to legally shut it down. If you’re a Sammy fan, do a search, there’s some great 70′s shows of his on there I highly recommend. Stay Frosty DaveQuote |
