I thought I had a 2 dvd set of the US FEST 1983 that contained the metal day with each band playing a few songs each?
It was a pro shot set going around at one time and not the VH1 special.

I am I dreaming this exists or does someone know what I am talking about?

Was this from the Showtime Special from back in the day?

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Watched the Old No.7 boot of US Festival the other day.

Is that the best quality one out there?

It’s the old Showtime special which featured a few songs from each band minus Motley Crue.
Triumph, Quiet Riot & Judas Priest (I believe?) have all released official video’s of their entire US Festival sets.
There are bootleg DVD’s from VH and Motley Crue in trading.
Ozzy & Scorpions never released or any boot DVD’s of their sets was ever released except what was on that Showtime video.
Another concert that kicked ass from that time period was the Dortmund Festival. It featured Ozzy, Scorpions, Judas Priest, MSG, Krokus, Def Leppard & Iron Maiden. This show took place a few months after the US Festival and I recommend you get a copy of this… Ory

I have a 3 DVD set which is a DVD for each of the days (from the Showtime Special as far as I know) – I’ve never seen a 2 DVD set of just the metal day though.

Pete, I have the BTB & the duece8pro DL versions of the US Festival but not sure how they compare with the Old No.7 version as I’ve never seen that one.

Ory, great call on the Dortmund Festival – that is a fantastic show. Makes you wonder why the Ozzy & Scorps sets from the US Festival have never surfaced like the others have, would love to see the complete Ozzy show – always loved Jake’s playing around that time. And yes, the Priest set was issued last year with the 30th anniversary edition of Screaming For Vengeance.

I actually have that Dortmund set… in a 3 dvd and a 2 dvd set. Great concert!

I was interested in the Ozzy US FEST set and thought for sure it was out there somewhere. Ozzy just released the Speak Of The Devil dvd not too long ago and I liked that show although the vox ruined it. He went in and redid them all and it sounds like it too. Live concert and the band was awesome! Studio processed Ozzy vox destroy the live feel.

Jake was the man and that was the whole intent of trying to get the US FEST dvds. Triumph did release all of their set and I did see a Quiet Riot dvd on eBay as well that looked like an official QR dvd.

Was the showtime special; the US FEST with all the bands from metal day?

Any want to swap ? Will give up a set of my Dortmund for the US FEST Showtime dvds.

As lame as that is, VH deserves a proper release.. not sharing space with the scorpions & berlin.

The company releasing the DVD that’s pictured above is the same company that releases poor quality bootleg videos and passes them off as legit releases. So I suspect that this (like the rest) is not a legit release.

The Priest was released with that anniversary edition of Screaming For Vengeance. Great stuff.

Hopefully we’ll see the VH someday but I am not holding my breath
