What’s wrong? Don’t like Dave solo? Don’t like the band he’s put together? Don’t like him opening for KISS? ronQuote |

evhua (1610) | I’m happy for Dave that he’s touring… I still want to believe in a real VAN HALEN reunion… and if Sammy would like to join I would be happy anyways… evhuaQuote |

King Edward (1950) | Frustrated that he is opening for kiss, he seems more like a tribute act than anything else. When he sang with VH on the 2015 tour I could see past a lot of his over the top stage antics…..as a solo artist I struggle watching his high leg kick and stage presence…..seems like VH was his crutch but without Edward and Alex there and the focus is all on Dave its hard for me. Just my opinion…not a DLR hater or anything like that. King EdwardQuote |

I agree with you. It also bothers me that NOW he seems to actually be sticking to his range like I begged he would do from 2007 to 2015. He’s not trying to hit notes he can’t hit or making up strange melodies that don’t work with the songs. The band is OK. Dave is OK. It just reeks of a “tribute” act. I’m always a Dave era VH fan and Dave’s best solo stuff to me is 1. EEAS Outside of a couple singles here and there, the rest was pretty forgettable. I get that Eddie’s health is probably going to signal the end of VH as a band on the road and Dave just wants to keep going. Good for him and I’m happy he can still do it. I just personally don’t care to see/hear it anymore. I’m not knocking anyone who still digs it. I just can’t handle him solo anymore. VOODOOQuote |
