guitard (7354) | Alright … so my buddy who bought the LG drive started out with Verbatim discs (at my recommendation) and produced nothing but coasters. He then switched to Optical Quantum BD-R 6x single layer discs and hasn’t had any problems at all. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51lid3iiB6L.jpg guitardQuote |

Yep, those are what I have, but mine are 4x. Maybe that’s the problem? I’d just hate to keep dumping $$ and ending up with unusable discs. Guess there isn’t any other option. VOODOOQuote |

KISSMAD (532) | I have an LG BD burner and I use Verbatim blank discs, I’ve had 1 coaster out of about 50. However I purchased a spindle of 10 Verbatim BD-R LTH type discs and I got 3 coasters out of the 10. KISSMADQuote |

BD-R – The standard disc. They are HTL type but they don’t display the HTL on the packaging. So they don’t display BD-R HTL, just BD-R (25GB capacity) The TL discs are also known as BD-XL Hope this helps. KISSMADQuote |

The first time that you format a BD-RE, it must be done with the normal format. After that, quick format can be used. KISSMADQuote |

I compared prices and went with the place on eBay because they were a few bucks cheaper and had free shipping. I usually use Super Media Store, but I’m not buying 50 of them. I just wanted 10 or so to burn a couple shows. I don’t have that many Bluray shows downloaded. VOODOOQuote |

I had already ordered the first pack of discs that didn’t work when I found them at Best Buy. I went back up to get them when I realized the discs I had wouldn’t work and they were out of them. They only had one spindle of them when I went. Small town. VOODOOQuote |
