sweden (398) | I haven’t seen this the re-broadcast of Paris 1985 but it must be an upgrade and best version out there. Any chance of it being torrented here? swedenQuote |

unclehomey1 (22) | I’m interested in just bout anything DP Mark II, III, IV. etc. – Any of the 1985 stuff – Perfect Strangers stuff is great. Of course any and all Tommy Bolin too. I was lucky enough to see DP 3 times on that 85 tour – I’ll never forget it. As Ian Gillan says: “I know I must remain inside this silent well of sorrow” BTW all the DP stuff on Youtube is great – the 72 stuff from that college in NY rocks. I noticed that Blackmore does a lot of moves that Eddie kind of got associated with. The trem picking, pickslide stuff, etc. Any any Rainbow w RJD would be great. I was lucky enough to see them w Nazareth and April Wine in 78. Check out Van Halen’s version of Rainbow’s Man on the Silver Mountain – from 76 – man Eddie nailed Blackmore’s tone and sound. Funny how Ed could nail a lot of peep’s tone (Clapton, Page, Blackmore, Billy Gibbons, etc., etc.), but nobody can nail Ed’s tone. VHT Facebook Group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/3731315524 WesQuote |
