jroundy (1418) | I just compared the VHND versions to the “David Lee Roth – 1978-1994 Napalm Up Yo Ass!” DVD, and to me…. they are almost the same quality. The VHND version has been edited a bit, and the color is a little bit different, but I think the “Napalm Up Yo Ass” version is actually a little cleaner. The picture quality, and sound are a little sharper. It’s sounds like the VHND version is also mono, compared to the Napalm version being in stereo. I wouldn’t consider this an upgrade. I watched both versions on my computer, on the same HD monitor. The most notable difference is, on the “Napalm Up Yo Ass” version, you can see a border line on the right side of the screen, this has been removed on the VHND version. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |

Yes, Cato. Thanks for posting. Yours appears crisper, less saturated = more natural, overall. I prefer it (and, I can watch it on the big screen at concert volume). Thanks to you, brother. But, it’s great to see these videos getting all this attention again (via VHND). I remember getting so excited when they’d air on mtv back in the daze. they were rarely played, it seemed, and I would wait through hours of garbage to see them… ekruQuote |
