Well, since this has turned into a hate-fest of a thread, I suggest a mod just delete it.

I didn’t mean to start a shit storm. I just agree with the article and stated my concerns about Dave and the tour. I mean no disrespect. I’m just disappointed from what I’ve heard so far. I won’t post anymore negativity. Only positive thoughts from here on out

I don’t know what the hell people expected from VH. The style of music Eddie has written since Dave left isn’t the type of music Dave can relate to, so they went back to the demos for some of the songs. The bootleg collectors know about these songs, but the general public does not. Big deal. They’re still Van Halen’s songs. Why do people feel they can’t redo and release the old songs? Out of 13 tracks, six are reworked demos that we know of, right?. How do we know the other songs weren’t recorded with Dave in 2000? How do we know the ideas weren’t worked on during the Hagar era? More importantly, why does it matter when the songs were written? It’s a stupid argument and obviously written by someone with the “It’s not the same without Mike” attitude. I have not heard one song by Chickenfoot that I consider a good song.

Sorry to come off as a negative hate monger, but I happen to hold an opposite opinion than what was in the article….It’s all good…I still love ya Ron  You have the Golden Shovel that digs up every little thing about VH, keep it coming!
no need to delete the thread….

Don’t worry about it Ron. Everyone has the right to state their opinion.

Thank you for all of your contributions here at VHT. :)

Its a choice between Carhart overalls or a near 60 year old man(although in great shape) in assless chaps with a probably grey haired butt hanging out!!! Me i like the second option. 8-O

I think this guy is completely full of shit and I really don’t fucking care what he thinks! All I know is: 1) This new album KICKS ASS! 2) I can’t wait to buy it the second it comes out 3) I’m excited about them reworking the old tunes – “Let’s Get Rockin” is one of my all-time favorite songs) 4) I’m a fan of both Chickenfoot albums, but in my opinion – the new VH stuff I’ve heard (including the 3 complete songs) just shits all over anything the ‘foot has done. 5) Lastly, I love Dave’s whole jive-fun attitude…always have, always will. He’s brought the swagger back to VH, and I couldn’t be happier!

Did you really have to include the color of hair on his ass in your post? I mean…for chrissake the assless chaps visual was more than enough to get the point across….but grey hair on his ass?

What’s next…grey hair on his ass with his saggy ball sack swingin’ to and fro? Grey hair on his ass and his butt cheeks all flabby and jiggling around like a bowl of jello? Grey hair on his ass with his butt plug sticking out?

King Edward: I want a solid tour without it turning into the DLR show with an appearance by Van Halen.

Hmm…I don’t know. With the way the VH brothers (and now son) internally control what happens with the band – I think the second they perceive it becoming a DLR show with Van Halen taking a backseat – they would quash that in a heartbeat.

DLR has a well-defined role in the band – that’s well understood by him and by the Van Halens: he’s the frontman. He’s the frontman at the shows…and he’s the frontman for much of the promotion. But frontman and leader are two totally differently things. Dave knows the boundaries of his role, and at this point in his career and life – I think he’s happy to be where he is and won’t do anything stupid to fuck it up.

Just my 2 cent’s worth…

Dave would probably get his ass waxed & tanned before he would let any gray ass hairs hang out LOL.

WOW, instead of another thread about Dave’s hair, we now have a thread about Dave’s ass-hair, lol.

*waits for VAiN to say something about how even Dave’s ass-hairs are more interesting than Sammy’s best album*
