Yes, it does look like Mike is playing a Gibson EB-3 from what we can see. And it also does look like a Flying V in Ed’s hands. I’m not sure about Dave. I also love the classic stuff, like this picture. The article it was part of was secondary to me, because although it might be their first admission, it didn’t seem like news to me. “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

Maybe that thing in Roth’s hands is a cowbell wrapped in duck tape, isn’t there a couple of songs with a cowbell on the club days? DecatoneQuote |

Think Ed used a blonde band master although this one’s black? he’s said in a interview that he used a fender for smaller club gigs, so I’m guessing the marshall on end isn’t on. Although there was speculation that the band master was slaved into the marshall, who knows for sure. Couple more pics of Ed. No Gibson logo on the headstock? DecatoneQuote |

This makes sense from what Ed and Mike are playing for instruments and what they are wearing. https://photos.app.goo.gl/g3RzuZgVaEYRGAPE9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/4fttqYZfeMxMKhqb6 “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

Nick – it might be a cowbell, but I can’t tell. I did notice the Marshall standing on end. It’s so funny to see the now priceless head treated like it was any other tool. And yes, I had to wait until I was making good money (late 80′s) to afford my 1st Marshall too “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

It could be a blackface Bandmaster (40w) or Tremolux (35w). I doubt it was a 50w Bassman b/c that would be loud as hell, but it could be. All three amps had the same setup on the front panel. It’s not the Bandmaster that Ed used in his bedroom and at Gazzari’s. That was blonde. Below is pic of it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Rgzx8UcuKv7uxuHp9 “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

Decatone (1440) | Looks like the band had a set stage outfit at a certain period or the gig in conversation was around the time of this promo shot… either way the two pics below have mixed dates as to when these were taken. The photographer states 73/74 in her watermark. DecatoneQuote |
